On Tuesday, August 5, the Chamber will host its monthly "First Tuesday Coffee". This is a great time of networking and is open to chamber members and prospective members. There is no cost to attend, but RSVP's are greatly appreciated. The event takes place from 8am to 9am at the Chamber office, 928 North Coast Highway in Oceanside. California Supreme Court Decides Commission Issue

Hospitality Program for Fall Semester at MiraCosta College
MiraCosta College’s Hospitality Management Program offers excellent training for those interested in hospitality or restaurant management careers. Classes are taught by instructors with extensive industry experience. The program offers courses for students planning to transfer as hospitality majors to four-year institutions as well as career and technical courses that can lead to certificates of proficiency and achievement. Career options include front office, reservations, sales, marketing, customer service, and management positions in hotels, restaurants, theme parks, attractions, clubs, and casinos. Read More.
Vista BBQ Classic... San Diego's Largest BBQ Competition
July 25-26
BBQ Tastings: 10am-5pm
Entertainment: 10am-9pm

The Vista BBQ Classic is an official Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned event in Historic Downtown Vista. For the past 5 years, teams have traveled from all over the state to compete for prize money, trophies, points and bragging rights.
BBQ teams will descend on Historic Downtown Vista on Friday afternoon to spend up to 24 hours seasoning, smoking, and grilling their choice cut of meats for competition day on Saturday, July 26th. Our 2014 Teams will compete for a guaranteed $10,000 of prize money, KCBS points and trophies. More Info.
Free Energy-Savings Seminars and Training at the Energy Innovation Center

Enjoy Local Restaurants While Networking with Chamber Members
Small Group Networking through the Chamber's "Plates for 8" program has become one of the most popular avenues for members to network and gain exposure for their businesses.
A Plates for 8 event provides a chance for 8-12 Chamber Members to join for a meal and learn more about each other’s businesses. A Chamber representative hosts and facilitates the event at a local restaurant in order to provide an in depth networking opportunity for a small group of members.
