CalChamber Releases Final Status Report on Major Business Bills
(Source:www.CalChamber.com) The California Chamber of Commerce has published its final status report on the top priority bills for California’s business community, showing the ultimate fate of legislation sent to Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. this year.
Legislation strongly opposed by the California Chamber of Commerce has been signed by the Governor, who also agreed with CalChamber opposition in vetoing other bills. Read More.

Small Group Networking through the Chamber's "Plates for 8" program has become one of the most popular avenues for members to network and gain exposure for their businesses.
A Plates for 8 event provides a chance for 8-12 Chamber Members to join for a meal and learn more about each other’s businesses. A Chamber representative hosts and facilitates the event at a local restaurant in order to provide an in depth networking opportunity for a small group of members.

Chamber’s Annual Directory and Community Guide Promotes Business and Quality of Life in Oceanside
The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce has begun production of its 2015 Business Directory and Community Guide which will be published next February.
Each year, the Chamber publishes the directory as a way of promoting the local business community and the great quality of life offered in Oceanside. The publication includes sections that outline local attractions, health care providers, education resources, economic development, arts & culture and more.
All Chamber members receive a free listing in the guide and have access to additional advertising opportunities. With 15,000 copies to be printed, this guide will offer a great way to reach the military, business and residential markets in and around Oceanside.

Social Media For Business
The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is teaching a series of Social Media for Business Seminars beginning in October. Each seminar will focus on one social media platform at a time. Platforms covered will be: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogging, Pinterest and Instagram.
Each seminar is $20 for Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Register early for all 6 seminars and receive one seminar free! $100 for all 6 seminars for Chamber members and $200 for all 6 for non-members. More Info
October Mixer at Mission Animal and Bird Hospital
The Oceanside Chamber's next Mixer will be held Thursday, October 23rd at Mission Animal and Bird Hospital from 5 to 7 pm. This beautiful facility is located off Highway 76 at 655 Benet Road.

Relationship marketing is not new, it just didn’t have a name. If you could ask the baker in the old town square of long ago, they probably would mostly talk about their customers as though they all were friends.
The same could be said about many “businesses” through the ages. The key here is that there was a direct connection, a relationship, between the producers, in this case the baker, and the actual consumers of that bread. More Info and Registration.
