The North County Health & Wellness Fair will be held Thursday, August 14th from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, 300 North Coast Highway. History of Oceanside 1888-1912

The City of Oceanside incorporated on July 3, 1888 but our history dates back years further and was founded by Andrew Jackson Myers, who settled in the San Luis Rey valley in the late 1870's. Myers applied for and received a homestead grant for land which is now downtown Oceanside. In the early 1880s a railroad line was being built that would connect Los Angeles to San Diego. The trains would travel directly over Myers’ new land grant making his property very valuable. Read More.

Oceanside, San Marcos Summer Health Fairs to Offer Families Fun, Resources
Free health screenings, raffle prizes will be available North County Health Services will host two Summer Fun Health Fairs in August, providing families the chance to have fun and learn about community resources.

North County Health Services will provide free dental, hearing, vision and blood pressure screenings at the event and will also feature community resources. The Oceanside fair will also feature sports physicals for only $25. More Info.

Small Group Networking through the Chamber's "Plates for 8" program has become one of the most popular avenues for members to network and gain exposure for their businesses.
A Plates for 8 event provides a chance for 8-12 Chamber Members to join for a meal and learn more about each other’s businesses. A Chamber representative hosts and facilitates the event at a local restaurant in order to provide an in depth networking opportunity for a small group of members.

Maximize Your Community Involvement Through the Chamber
We have heard from many of our members that their Chamber membership is a great way to be involved in the Community.
